I want to learn a new language, all an attempt Rosetta stone?

I want to learn French or Spanish, since these two languages are used Western plus, plus english.I'm American (USA), so knowing Spanish can be very useful in the United States, Canada east of me French-speaking Latinos are everywhere.I have heard of the Rosetta stone and looks promising, no one uses it with good results, or large? I also (if you know) exectly would like to know what the main French-speaking countries, plus France and Switserland? I know that almost all of Latin America and South America speak Spanish, is there anywhere as well as Belize does not? If I have learned that the package of Latin America and hopefully not too differant Spanish in Spain.
