Backpack Set

About how much money should I save for backpacking?

I turn to Canada in December … The first half of my trip (about 2 months) will spent visiting relatives, but after that I have noticed on my own backpack and, ultimately, about accepting a pre-arranged job in Vancouver. I've already paid for my airfare, travel insurance, etc – but what is an ideal amount of money aside for when I'm staying with family / initial living expenses when I put on my own backpack?

In my days with a backpack, the equation for the developed countries was $ 1000 per month, plus airfare. Could blow so far to $ 1200, taking into account inflation and exchange rates. That assumes that you are moving around every few days by public transport by hostels and perhaps at a friend / family from time to time, buy food in supermarkets, cooking and not really splurge on many things. If you do hotels and restaurants and rental cars that cost more. If you are staying with relatives for a while, you can save some money, housing is perhaps 30-40% of its budget, well if you're not paying for traffic that is a saving. You should buy dinner at a restaurant and cooking for them from time to time, but it will not cost as much as when you travel. More consideration: You will need more money if you do not have a place in line at the first month's rent in Vancouver, safe, etc, over what furniture and supplies you need to get started. I would put the money in separate savings account s
